Nancy Jo Grell, 76, of Marion, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion, by Pastor Jennifer Filter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Brooke) Jared and Scott (Amy) Jared, all of Marion; brother, Tim (Elaine) Maher of Kentucky; sisters, Pat Divis of Marion, Lori (Tim) Duffy of Rock Island, Illinois, and Linda Maher of Marion; grandchildren, Kristina, Crystal, Nick, Josh, Nathan, Jeromie, Stephany, and Tiffany; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Castle, Michael, Alison, Emily, A.J., Cameron, Brianna, Mikia, and Faith; and an uncle, Marion C. (Voanne) Hansen. Nancy was born January 29, 1938, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Forrest and Dorothy (Hansen) Hunter. She worked for many years as a housekeeping supervisor at Willow Gardens Care Center. Nancy enjoyed playing cards and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janice Kesselring. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Marion or the American Cancer Society.

Please accept our condolences for your loss. We will miss her and think of her with great fondness. I remember her making the Christmas ornaments and all the joyful times spent making cookies & candy for the holidays & get togethers in Grandma Dorothy’s kitchen. We are sorry we are not able to be there but know we are thinking of all of you during this time.
